Stuck

Well I guess this trip could haven gotten off to a slightly better start than spending 9 hours in Chicago airport...but I refuse to complain too much because ultimately I am still heading to Europe with my best friend, I could be in a much worse predicament. Fortunately trials like this tend to bring people together so I have met a college girl studying abroad in France, a nice lebonese man, a sweet old lady, someone from Iowa, and the cutest little kid in the world. It's nice to think that no matter what our backgrounds we all can be thrown in the same boat so easily...it's been a long day but I think we are going to ride it out just fine although we may reach Germany a little later than planned. Updates as they come!

Tomorrow!

That's when we leave! AHHHHHHHHHHH. And I'm all packed and prepared...kinda. There are always those awkward things (contact solution, glasses, hairbrush, makeup) that you can't pack until the last minute because, you know, you have to use them, and that always makes my OCD brain go crazy. But I plan to wake up extra early like I kid on Christmas morning to make sure everything is ship shape and ready to go. Its crazy really, I feel like it was just yesterday that we started planning this whole thing and the fact that is about to become a reality blows my mind. I know it is going to be a life changing experience and we will both come out the other side better people...that is if we are still speaking to each other...just kidding, Alex is the one of the few people I know I can spend three whole weeks with and not want to murder. I am beyond excited and I hope you are too because I plan to update this space wherever wifi can be found, pictures and all, so you can all come along on this adventure with us.

Pre-Packing Preparations

I seem to be getting the hang of this alliteration thing!
So I have decided to start this blog to document and share what I hope will be the best and most exciting summer of my life, a summer that will become a stepping stone to a brand new chapter for me. In exactly thirteen days I will hop on an airplane and begin a three week long adventure through Europe with the ultimate traveling companion; my best friend. In a whirlwind of a trip we plan to visit Frankfurt, Prague, Paris, and London; staying with friends, old and new, in each fabulous city. If I had my way I would have started packing months ago, but I figured I might need clothes to wear for the next couple weeks while I enjoy my short time at home. I love packing for long trips as it always gets me excited and combines to of my favorite things; organizing and clothes.I will be sure to let you know how I get on. I am going to try and update this space as often as possible (wherever wifi can be found) and I hope you enjoy what ever gibberish I can come up with.
